Empowering responsible renters to build great shared homes

What's in it for me as a homeowner?

We've already talked about many of the benefits of the Rent‑to‑One system for homeowners. Let's recap:

What does this mean for you as a homeowner? Your lawn will be cut. Your bathrooms and kitchen will be cleaned. There will be no parties. Your neighbors will be happy. Your rent will be paid. And best of all—you'll never have to do another showing again. You'll own the property, the money will come to you, you'll occasionally watch a video of the property —and that's it.

Sound too good to be true? Let me tell you some stories about houses and apartments we manage —and even ones we own.

How It Works

1. Learn About the System

Explore our videos and articles to understand how Rent2one makes shared housing easier and safer.

2. Advertise Your Property

We recommend posting on RoomyCity.com or StudentsGetRentals.com to reach verified friend groups.

3. Show the Home to a Group or Motivated Individual

Let them tour once — that’s all it takes. The last showing at 107 31 Ave Calgary was in 2009 and it’s still rented today!

4. Invite “The One” to Take the Quiz

Your main renter takes a quiz that scores their understanding of rental responsibilities. Use this score and your judgment to approve or decline.

5. Sign the Agreement

Use our template tools or software to formalize the agreement. Easy, fast, and legally sound.

6. Monitor Through Your Dashboard

Enjoy peace of mind with updates, compliance checks, and optional weekly property video inspections by ToughGrandma.com.
